Macy is officially one month old! I can't believe how fast the time is going and how big she is getting. At our 4 week appointment, she weighed 8 lbs. 10.5 oz. For those of you keeping score, that's 1 lb. 2.5 oz. more than 2 weeks earlier. She is doing really well all around, and other than the baby acne all over her poor little face, she is perfect in every way.
We had a couple of firsts this week. We did a real bath in the baby bathtub. (We outgrew the popcorn bowl.) After a few tries, she is finally starting to like the warm water and seems to enjoy her bath time. We also started giving her a bottle. I am finally able to pump enough for Dan to give her at least one bottle a day. She took to it right away, which made her parents very happy. Dan said it best...something had to be easy with this child :) I also swear that Macy smiled at me on Monday. No one believes me and everyone keeps telling me she's too young, but she was laying on the couch, and I put my face over hers and she smiled. I guess our daughter is just gifted.
