Ultrasound number two is scheduled for December 20th. So we should get another look at Baby Boy right before Christmas. He's been moving around a little bit more lately, so that's a good sign that he's getting bigger. Macy calls him "Baby Jacob" because that's the only name we can agree on at the moment. She keeps saying "Want to see him." It's cute, but we'll see if she still feels that way in a few months!

Potty Time!
Maybe it was an accident (in fact, I'm pretty sure it was), but Macy managed to go on the big potty last night! After her bath, I have been putting her on just to see what happens. Last night I was drying her off, and she said, "Have to go potty." So I put her on, and sure enough, she did! I made a HUGE deal about - I think I kind of scared her - but she was pretty proud of herself afterwards. Maybe it's a step in a good direction! The less diapers I have to change come March, the better!

It's a...
BOY!!
In case you hadn't heard, we are expecting a little boy. Being raised in a family with all girls and only three boy cousins, I'm not quite sure how to handle a boy, but we'll figure it out. I'm pretty excited about the little guy. :) Everything on the ultrasound came back normal, but they want to repeat it again in two months. The kid wasn't very cooperative with the tech, so most of the pictures were taken with his back to them. They didn't get a great look at everything, so they want to repeat it. Fine with me...more pictures to see and more relief that things are going well. Names are to be determined. My husband has decided that every name I like is either a "porn star name" or has a nasty nickname attached - ex. "Nick the Dick." Right now we both like Jacob. I know it's really common, but I don't think that bothers me.
Macy is doing great. She's a drool monster lately with her two-year molars coming in, and she's really into giving directions to people. "Come on, Daddy." "Let's go, Mommy." "Right now." She's pretty funny, though and seems to like to talk about having a new baby. We'll see if she still feels that way in March!

New Song
On Saturday morning, we were laying in bed and heard Macy start singing. It took a minute, but we realized what she was singing:
Mama (To the tune of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star)
by Macy Gebauer
Mama, mama, mama, ma
Mama, mama, mama, ma
Mama, mama, mama, ma
Mama, mama, mama, ma
Mama, mama, mama, ma
Mama, mama, mama, ma
She did it three times, each time a little louder than the last. For the rest of the weekend, she would periodically bust it out again, sometimes changing the words to "Daddy," "Grandma," "Grandpa," or "Dave." I was pretty impressed that she was able to keep the tune and change the words. It was one of the cuter things she has done in her two years. :)

Our Little Nugget is 2!
Sunday was quite a big day for Macy...she turned two years old. It's funny because I still remember Friday, October 3, 2008 like it was yesterday, yet it seems like it was a long time ago. I could walk you through every minute of that day, but I can't remember Macy ever being that tiny. We had a small-ish get together with family and a few friends. Macy got her Abby Cadabby cake that she picked out and really enjoyed being the center of attention for at least a day. (It continued at day care yesterday, so it was extra birthday fun.) She had fun playing with friends and didn't know which new toy she should play with first. I, like last year, couldn't sing "Happy Birthday" with everyone because I got teary after the first syllable of the song. I tried to sing it to her when we were rocking before bed, but then the child looked at me and said, "Love you, Mommy." It was over at that point. Pregnancy hormones or not, she's got a way of getting to me! Anyway, it was a great day for all of us. Her two-year doctor's appointment put her at 28 pounds (75%) and 36 inches (95%). The doctor was really impressed with her talking and said everything looks really great.
We also had another milestone on Friday with Macy's first haircut. I didn't want much cut...just enough to make it look a little less cave lady. She sat in the pink car, watched the first song of "The Lion King" on the little TV, and then lost it. She wanted no one touching her hair and it took two stylists and two parents to cut about 1/2 inch of her hair. But it's done and it looks cute, so what else can you do?
Baby G is still getting big. My next appointment is October 12th and the ultrasound is the 19th. Stay tuned to find out if it's baby Anna or baby Boy - which might really be his name if that's the case!
